VAMAN - Induced Emesis

A key Panchakarma method targeting vitiated Kapha and to some extent Pitta. Effective against disorders like Asthma and hyperacidity, Vaman involves controlled emesis induced with specific herbs and decoctions.

VIRECHANA - Induced Purgation

Virechana, involving strong purgatives, expels vitiated doshas, cleansing the body. Primarily recommended for Pitta and Vata disorders.

BASTI - Medicated Enema

Basti, a medicated enema, incorporates herbs, decoctions, honey, and oil to address various diseases. Beyond colon cleansing, it effectively alleviates doshas, proving beneficial for orthopedic, neurological disorders, obesity, and more.

NASYA - Errhine Therapy

Nasya involves the nasal administration of medicines, recommended for conditions affecting the shoulders, neck, and head region (e.g., Cervical Spondylitis, Chronic Rhinitis, Neuralgias, Hair disorders). Medicines can be in the form of decoction, milk, juice, powder, or fumes.

Derived from "PANCHA," meaning five, and "KARMA," denoting procedures, PANCHAKARMA involves a set of five detoxification treatments designed to eliminate vitiated DOSHA (VATA, PITTA, KAPHA) from the body.

RAKTAMOKSHANA - Bloodletting

Raktamokshan involves letting a specific quantity of blood out of the body to eliminate vitiated Pitta, aiding various ailments related to blood tissue. This is done through leech treatment or with a needle and syringe through a vein. Leeches, applied over affected areas, suck blood and then naturally detach. Commonly used in skin diseases, psoriasis, and abscesses. In addition to the main Panchakarma treatments, certain allied procedures exhibit significant effectiveness across various diseases.

SNEHANAM - Oleation / Massage

Snehanam, a globally recognized soothing treatment, involves the use of different oils and unctuous materials in Ayurveda. Medicated oils, ghee, and more are applied to alleviate pain, fatigue, and serve various therapeutic purposes.

SWEDANAM - Fomentation

Swedanam, fomentation, typically follows oil application (Snehan). It involves steam or dry heat using methods like steam boxes, Nadi-swed, and various saunas. Herbal decoction steam aids in addressing orthopedic, neurological issues such as joint pain, spine disorders, as well as benefiting conditions like asthma and certain skin disorders.

SHIRODHARA - Stress-Relieving Therapy

Shirodhara, widely recognized for its effectiveness in calming the mind and relieving stress, involves a continuous flow of medicated oil, decoction, or medicated buttermilk over the forehead for a specific duration. It acts as a stress buster and is commonly recommended for neurological disorders such as headaches, migraines, epilepsy, and hair disorders. Particularly effective in hypertension for blood pressure alleviation.

PINDASWEDA - Herbal Rice Fomentation

Pindasweda is a unique fomentation technique using rice grains cooked in medicinal herbs. Cotton bags filled with rice are dipped in hot medicinal liquid and massaged across the body. Beneficial for muscular and musculoskeletal disorders, as well as conditions like joint pain in arthritis and gout.

AGNIKARMA - Thermal Cautery

HRIDBASTI - Heart Therapy
